The series was developed while travelling and shows sections of bedrooms darkened by curtains. In terms of pictorial history, the window stands for the opening to the world. Here, however, the potential outside is only hinted at by the light falling through the curtain. The focus is on the fabric as a barrier and addresses the obstruction of the gaze. The series stands in the tension between the movement of travel with countless possible impressions and the reduced, similar window situations.
